How to install a WordPress theme purchased from ThemeForest

This guide walks you through downloading the Gomax theme from ThemeForest and installing it on your WordPress site.

Download the theme from ThemeForest

  1. Launch your browser and go to ThemeForest. Click Sign In at the top right and enter your ThemeForest credentials.

  2. Hover over your username at the top right to open the dropdown menu, then click Downloads.

  3. Find the item you purchased and click its Download button. A dropdown menu appears with download options.

  4. Select Installable WordPress file only if you just need the theme zip, or All files & documentation if you want the full package, including additional files. Choose a save location and wait for the download to finish.

Install the theme on WordPress

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard (usually at yourdomain.com/wp-admin).

  2. Go to Appearance » Themes and click Add New at the top of the page.

  3. Click Upload Theme, then Choose File. Select the theme zip file you downloaded from ThemeForest.

  4. Click Install Now. WordPress needs a few moments to upload and install the file.

  5. Once installation finishes, click Activate to enable the theme on your site.
