Portfolio: Add and Display Your Projects
Gomax includes a dedicated Portfolio post type so you can showcase projects, case studies, or work samples separately from your regular blog posts.
Enable Portfolio in Elementor
Section titled “Enable Portfolio in Elementor”So you can design portfolio items with the page builder, make sure Portfolio is enabled in Elementor’s supported post types. In Important Elementor Settings, under Elementor » Settings » Post Types, check Portfolio together with the other recommended options.
Add a portfolio item
Section titled “Add a portfolio item”- In the WordPress dashboard, go to Portfolio » Add New.
- Enter a title and, optionally, a description.
- Set a Featured Image — this becomes the thumbnail used in portfolio grids.
- Assign a Portfolio Category to group related projects (handy for filters later).
- Design the item’s layout with Elementor if you want full control, then click Publish.
Repeat for each project you’d like to show.
Design the single portfolio template
Section titled “Design the single portfolio template”To control how every portfolio item looks, build a template with Global Sections and set its display condition to your Portfolio items. You define the layout once and it applies to all projects automatically.
Display a portfolio grid on a page
Section titled “Display a portfolio grid on a page”Edit any page with Elementor and add a Portfolio widget from the Post & Portfolio widget category (see Gomax Core Widgets). From the widget controls you can set:
- The number of columns in the grid
- How many items to show
- Which categories to include
- Whether to show filters, titles, and other details
Adjust the styling live until the grid matches your design.
