Preloader

A preloader is the brief animation visitors see while a page finishes loading. It covers the moment between the first request and the page becoming interactive, so instead of a flash of unstyled or half-drawn content, visitors get a clean, branded transition into your site.

The preloader is managed from the theme’s settings panel in your WordPress dashboard, under the Shock options. From there you can typically:

  • Turn it on or off globally for the whole site.
  • Choose a style — Shock includes a selection of preloader animations to match your brand.
  • Adjust its appearance, such as the background color, so it blends into your design.

Save your changes and reload the front end of your site to see the preloader in action.

For other site-wide switches like this, see Display Options.
