How to Install the Shock Theme

Installing the Shock theme purchased from ThemeForest is an easy, two-part process: first you download the theme package from your Envato account, then you upload and activate it in WordPress. No technical knowledge required.

Download Shock from ThemeForest

1. Sign in to your Envato account.

   Go to ThemeForest and click Sign In in the top-right corner. Enter your username and password.

2. Open your downloads.

   Hover over your username in the top-right corner and click Downloads from the dropdown. Find Shock in your list of purchased items.

3. Download the right file.

   Click the Download button next to Shock and choose one of the following:

   • Installable WordPress file only — just the theme .zip, which is what you upload to WordPress.
   • All files & documentation — the full package, including licenses and extras.

   Save the file somewhere you’ll remember.

Upload the correct ZIP

If you downloaded All files & documentation, that outer .zip also contains the installable theme file inside it. Unzip it first and upload only the inner shock.zip — WordPress will reject the full package.

Install and activate in WordPress

1. Open your WordPress dashboard.

   Log in to your admin area, usually at yourdomain.com/wp-admin.

2. Upload the theme.

   Go to Appearance » Themes and click Add New at the top of the page, then Upload Theme. Choose the Shock .zip file you downloaded and click Install Now.

3. Activate Shock.

   WordPress takes a few moments to upload and install the file. Once you see the success message, click Activate to make Shock your active theme.

After activating, WordPress will prompt you to install the plugins Shock relies on, and you’ll want to unlock support and updates by activating your license.
