Required Plugins
A plugin adds functionality beyond a standard WordPress installation. Shock depends on a small set of them to deliver its widgets, page-building features, and demo content — without them, most of the theme’s functionality isn’t available.
Install the required plugins
Section titled “Install the required plugins”After you install and activate Shock, a notification appears at the top of your dashboard recommending the plugins you need. This is important for getting the most out of the theme.
You can follow the notification’s instructions, or go to Appearance » Install Plugins, select all the plugins, then install and activate them in one go.
What plugins are required?
Section titled “What plugins are required?”| Plugin | What it does |
|---|---|
| Shock Core | The core of the theme. With it installed and activated, you unlock the extra Elementor widgets and features that make Shock what it is. |
| Elementor (free) | The page builder. You need it to design your site with drag-and-drop. |
| Contact Form 7 | The form creator. You’re free to swap in another form plugin if you prefer. |
Temporary plugins
Section titled “Temporary plugins”These are only needed for setup. Once you’re done, you can safely disable or delete them.
| Plugin | What it does |
|---|---|
