Change Your Site Colors

A consistent color scheme creates a harmonious look and feel, making your content easier to read and navigate. Shock lets you define your palette once and have it apply across the entire site, so every button, link, and heading stays on brand.

Set your colors globally

From your WordPress panel, go to Shock » Color Scheme, choose your preferred colors, and click Publish to save.

Typically you’ll set a handful of core roles that the theme reuses everywhere:

Color role	Where it’s used
Primary	Main accent — buttons, links, key highlights.
Secondary	Supporting accent for secondary actions.
Text	Default body-copy color.
Headings	Color applied to titles and headings.

The scheme you set here applies to the whole site. When you edit a page in Elementor, you can still assign different colors to an individual widget — and that override affects only that widget, leaving the global scheme intact.

Mind the contrast

Whatever palette you choose, make sure text keeps enough contrast against its background so it stays comfortable to read. Aiming for the WCAG AA ratio (4.5:1 for normal text) keeps your content accessible to everyone.

Note

For consistency, set your colors here first and let Elementor inherit them. Reach for per-widget overrides only where a specific section genuinely needs to stand out.
