Import Demo Content

Importing demo content is a huge time-saver. With a single click it recreates the pages, sections, and settings you see on the Nexgen live demo, giving you a fully built site to customize instead of a blank canvas.

Before you begin

Demo import is handled by the One Click Demo Import plugin, which is listed among the Required Plugins. Make sure it — along with Nexgen Core and Elementor — is installed and active before you start.

How to import a demo

1. Open the Demo Import screen. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Nexgen » Demo Import.

2. Choose what to import. Pick from the available options, such as Pre-Built Websites, All Content, Pages and Posts, Global Sections, Element Pages, or WooCommerce Products.

3. Run the import. Click Import Demo, then confirm with Continue & Import. Wait for the process to finish — it may take a few minutes.

Import failing? Check your PHP limits

By far the most common cause of a failed or incomplete import is low PHP configuration limits. Symptoms include a white screen, missing content, or an import that stalls. Before anything else, confirm your server meets the recommended values in Server Requirements, then try again.

Note

Do not refresh or close the page while the import is running. Interrupting it can leave your content half-imported. If the process seems slow, give it time — larger demos process a lot of data.
