Install Nexgen

This guide walks you through downloading Nexgen from your Envato account and installing it in WordPress.

Download Nexgen

1. Log in to your Envato account. Open your browser and go to ThemeForest. Click Sign In at the top-right, enter your username and password, then sign in.

2. Find your purchased item. Hover over your username at the top-right to open the dropdown, then click Downloads. Locate Nexgen in your list of purchases.

3. Download the file. Next to Nexgen, click Download. Choose Installable WordPress file only to get just the theme zip, or All files & documentation for the complete package. Save the file somewhere you can find it.

Install the theme

1. Open your WordPress dashboard. Log in to your admin area (usually at yourdomain.com/wp-admin).

2. Upload the theme. Go to Appearance » Themes and click Add New at the top of the page, then Upload Theme. Choose the Nexgen theme zip you downloaded and click Install Now.

3. Activate Nexgen. WordPress takes a few moments to upload and install the file. When it finishes, you will see a success message — click Activate to enable Nexgen on your website.

Tip

If the upload fails with a message about maximum file size, your upload_max_filesize limit is likely too low. See Server Requirements to fix it.
