Import Demo Content

Demo import is one of the most useful features when starting a new site. With a single click, it brings in the same content you see on the Leverage demo — pages, sections, and sample data — giving you a fully built starting point that you can then customize instead of designing everything from scratch.

Demo import is provided by the One Click Demo Import plugin, which is part of the Required Plugins. Make sure it is installed and activated before you continue.

  1. Open the demo importer. From your WordPress dashboard, go to Leverage » Demo Import.

  2. Choose what to import. Pick from the available options, such as Pre-Built Websites, All Content, Pages and Posts, Global Sections, Element Pages, or WooCommerce Products. Importing All Content gives you the closest match to the live demo.

  3. Run the import. Click Import Demo, then confirm with Continue & Import. Wait for the process to finish completely without leaving the page.

Most import problems — a white screen, content that stops partway, empty pages, or settings that will not save — come down to a single cause: PHP limits set too low on your server.

The fix is to increase those limits. You can do it yourself if you are comfortable, or ask your hosting provider to raise them to at least the recommended minimums.

With your demo content in place, set up how visitors move around your site.
