Configuring reCAPTCHA

Google reCAPTCHA helps protect your website from spam and abusive traffic by detecting bots in the background — without making real visitors solve puzzles or click images. Leverage supports it out of the box, and setting it up takes just a few minutes.

First, tell Google about the site you want to protect and generate your keys.

  1. Open the reCAPTCHA admin. Go to the reCAPTCHA registration page and sign in with your Google account.

  2. Fill in the form.

    • Label — a name to recognize this site (for example, your domain).
    • reCAPTCHA type — choose reCAPTCHA v3.
    • Domains — add your website’s domain.
    • Owner — keep your own email address listed.
    • Accept the reCAPTCHA Terms of Service.
  3. Submit. Click submit, and Google issues two keys: a Site key and a Secret key. Keep this page open — you will need both in the next step.

Now connect those keys to your site.

  1. Open the settings. In WordPress, go to Theme Settings » General Settings and open the Features tab.

  2. Enable reCAPTCHA. Turn on the reCAPTCHA option.

  3. Paste your keys. Enter the Site key and Secret key you generated in Step 1.

  4. Set the badge (optional). Use the Badge toggle to show or hide Google’s reCAPTCHA badge at the bottom of your pages.

  5. Save. Save your changes to activate protection.

Your forms are now protected by reCAPTCHA v3, quietly filtering out bots while letting genuine visitors through without interruption.
